Researchers

MatthiasMatthias F. Brandstetter
Matthias is PhD student working on a DMU funded project on learning user strategies in interactive environments with Dr Samad Ahmadi. He received his MSc in Intelligent Systems & Robotics in 2012. Beside research on Artificial Intelligence Matthias is a keen developer of games on different platforms and in his current studies he combines his two passions for AI and games and try to design and develop exciting AI concepts for computer and video games. His current projects include use of genetic programming, case based reasoning and local search algorithms for video games and scheduling.

ChrisChris Feakes
Chris is a PhD student based in the Fused Media Lab at De Montfort University (Supervisor: Dr Lorenzo Picinali). His main areas of research include auditory perception, comparative perceptual evaluation, and auditory virtual reality. Chris' work includes studies of the perception of sighted and visually impaired individuals, the role of head movement in auditory perception as a factor in the development of virtual reality systems, and the translation of audio signals into visual and tactile metaphors.
