Geosat
The USA Navy satellite GEOdetic SATellite (GEOSAT) consisted of a radar altimeter designed to map the Earth Geoid over the ocean. The Geodetic Mission lasted between March 1985 and September 1986 and was mostly classified until July 1995, after the completion of the ERS-1 Geodetic Mission.
