Many of the files that you download from the internet will be in compressed format. The most widely used utility application to compress/decompress files tends to be Winzip, a really useful piece of shareware (shareware means that you may try before you buy; it doesn't mean that the software is free!)

You can download Winzip 8 here(1.2 Mb).

When you have downloaded Winzip.exe into your temporary directory you need to decompress it. Unlike the WS_FTP32.ZIP file, this is an exe file, that is, it is self extracting. To extract the utility run the winzip.exe as you would any other program, ie either from Start; Run, or with Windows Explorer.
