During this consolidation period you should ensure that you are up-to-date with the exercises and that you have read the set text up to and including Chapter 8.
The text book contains many solved exercises - make sure you read these to aid your understanding and type in and run the programs for yourself to gain experience.
This is the first week of the three-week holiday/consolidation period.
You should study Chapter 9 Characters. Read this in your own time taking particular care to read through the solved exercises. Note that reading this chapter is particularly useful given that the next section looks at strings (arrays of characters).
To prepare yourself for the next major topic you should read ahead in the set text CFTTP Chapter 10 Strings.
